Alright, about time LOL. OK here you go: Love the new chassis, Really love the way you moved your lower links waaaaaay in, did you go brushless and how do you like it, how's that dig working out, did you limit the articulation at all, and finally you gotta get me a set of those truck stands. Badass build, can't wait to see it crawl in person"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

Yea the DBL lower trinangel links was the best thing ever.... I was always brushless am a Novak freak all my cars run on brushless, DIGs working really good no complains very smooth no binding at all. My articulation is perfect from what I see and have tested a little bit over can coke and it does not get cought up on rocks, that was my biggest problem with my first set-up way too much articulation.

lololol my boy made me those stands, yea there badass, tommrow is the real test going out to our spot and see what it does"thumbsup" You'll see it when I take it up there."thumbsup"

Not telling you what to do at all, but maybe clock the motor so the wires are on top and run them over the motor to the ESC. I think they will thank you for it, just keep em away from the spur.

Oh no trust me am open to suggestions, whatever anyone has to say.
But that was one of the idea's I had to re-running the cabels.

If your open to suggestions, then how about mounting up a set of Chisels:ror::ror::ror:LOL

Lance365 03-08-2009 12:07 AM

nice job! what kind of wheels are those and how much weight can be added?

gunnar 03-08-2009 12:08 AM

If you have trouble on hillclimbs, try moving the upper rear links down one hole on the chassis side, it might help if you spin the rear tires too much on inclines, or if it hooks up and wheelies too much.

The wheels are Vanquish Procomp DH. The wheels alone weigh 6.3 oz. each. Each weight slug is almost 1 oz. Total wheel weight with 6 slugs is alittle over 12 ounces.

I forgot to ask before, are you using a BEC in your rig?

I don't see one. The goat's bec should be sufficient. 6v. 5 amp.

i run a hitec 5645mg servo for steering and will be using a hitec 645 servo for my S3R dig unit, I use a novak rooster crawler esc, do you think I'll need a BEC or not?

gunnar 03-08-2009 02:08 PM

Not sure on the rooster, I have only run a goat. I guess try it out, see if it loses power using the servos? I assume the rooster has roughly the same BEC, haven't checked the amp rating on that unit.

sub-zero 03-08-2009 02:17 PM

10-4, I guess i can always add one later, if i need it, Thanks"thumbsup"

That ruler isn't the best one to measure with from the ground. I estimate you are at 2 and 3/4? Looks good though. Guess we'll meet at ECC "thumbsup"

Well after this sundays test run, time for some serious foam tunning, DIG tweaking, and rewiring, everything ran great did notice that the DIG was not locking in after I would go back to 4x4 from locked rear or free wheel would have to give it a little jerk in reverse and can not afford to loose 1 point for something dum. The new tires were great super sticker great no fantatisc side walling just noticed the rear was a little too soft and was gett wrinkled too easy on the rear so gonna try some sidewall tunning make tham a little stiffer. And offcourse what I knew I was going to have to do re-run the motor wire did not get caught on anything but will get torne up 4 sure If I leave them there. But all in all very happy with the set-up runs great.
