Default no springs

just wondering if it is good to run the shock with out springs and just put limit stops to set ride height pros/cons please would help...

I don't care much for no springs at all, no control over the chassis. I run soft springs under the piston, and then some short stiff springs above the piston (they set ride height) and it works very nice!
