'General Purpose'...my Ax-10 project

This is one of my current Ax-10 projects. It's a hand crafted, all aircraft aluminum jeep body and chassis that I made to fit Ax-10 axles, transmission and running gear. It has a full frame underneath the body that all the suspension links connect to. The windshield frame folds down with two aluminum hinges, The hood opens up to reveal the standard six cell battery. The battery is mounted in the front of the Jeep body directly over top of the front axles. It's got a six point roll cage made from 3/16 steel tubing and a removeable bikini top made from gunuine rat leather...lol, it's actually a scrap from one of my wife's purses. She threw it out and I scavenged the leather off it to make the top. I made the upper link mounts and turned it into a four link suspension system rather than the three link the AX-10 comes with. Nothing fancy when it comes to the shocks, their just stock 4 inch Maxx shocks, they perform well in this application but I do have plans on getting some internally sprung shocks, just to achieve 'the look'. It crawls very well for having all stock electronics in it. I'll post up some action pics as soon as I can.

Hey that's mine!!! Actually I just bought the olive green one from you. Took it apart and Camo'ed it and (for now) put junk electronices in it just to use it. Very nice work. I'll get the "Boss" to post some pics when she gets home.

Yup, your right. It is almost excactly like yours. I made three of em and I don't think I'm going to make anymore because of all the time I have to invest. It takes about three solid weeks for me to complete one. I've still got the last one on the work bench ready to fit the front grill and hood. The only difference between yours and my yellow one is the rear corners, you'll notice that yours are square and mine are rounded.
