Default CKRC AX-10 Comp. kit

Anyone buy this set up, or have any comments on the parts used in this kit?

http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...roducts_id=796

Im new to RC's so I figured I'd buy a package deal for one stop shopping. And I know I'd upgrade the parts eventually so I figured I might as well start off with them and save some time and money in the long run.

Thanks for the help!

i purchased my kit from CKRC but didnt get the comp kit. i did upgrade quite a few things on my rig that i would say has made it a pretty desent compitition rig and didnt spend quite that much but i also dont have the dig set up and a few other things this rig comes with. im pretty sure that you can prolly build a comp rig that will cost less than the CKRC comp rig is costing. but if you have the cash to drop on it sure why not. lol

good luck buddy

p.s. i do have the suspension, chassis, and same tires that this rig has and love all three. O and the bug body

Thanks for the info!
I'll take all the luck I can get.

Im a 1:1 rock crawler and Ive finally had enough of watching other people have fun with their RC crawlers while on the trail so its time I get one of My own!!

I think what you would find is that you are paying not only for all the upgrade parts, but also for them putting it together. Which you will find after owning one, is actually half the fun. So save your money and get not only the enjoyment of putting it together, but also the knowledge of how and why it works.

Their add says "needs assembly".
Im assuming that all of those parts listed are going to show up in a big box and I have to put it together.
I called CKRC a couple of times and left a message so I could ask them some questions but havent heard back from them yet.

I agree 100%!!
I do want to build it Myself. But I dont know enough about this stuff to be able to walk into My LHS and piece this stuff together Myself. The people working there didnt really know much about the crawler stuff last time I was there.

i didnt buy the kit but i live next to the store and we basically built my car piece by piece. i have everything. the stage 2, rockstar chassis, bta steering, their imported bug, their dig, etc. everything they sell is amazing except the dig. we are still working on getting that thing running right, but i'm sure it will run just fine after we get the bugs worked out. hope that answers your question

I would build your self a crawler so buy the axial axles, a chassis you like, a dig (s3r or dna are good ones) a radio, wheels and tires and electronics. Im sure many people on here including me would be more than willing to help you pick out parts, and peices.

Thanks for the help Guys!

Since them clowns dont like to answer their phone I think I'll just grab an AX-10 kit, battery, charger, radio, ESC and BEC from My LHS.
That way when I change things I can see exactly how it affects the way it handles.

Time to go back and re-read some threads and make a shopping list.

Thanks again for the input!

Now you are on the right track in my book.
When you get to build and customize everything about your rig,you learn more and more about it and how upgrades change the performance and so on...Welcome to Crawling.
