Default StampedeProject - DNA SlingShot SE Build

OK so I think you all have already seen my previous Gen 1 DNA Aluminum Slingshot which I am still polishing with metal polish... gotta have it shinier, but the SE Delrin version was calling to me so here we go again.

Same basic setup as last time:

Axial Tranny and Axles
Revo Shocks with Yellow Jato springs at the rear
DNA Dig - but this time I am using the new V3 DNA Dig with blue anodized dig case and STEEL internals.
DNA Beadlocks
Pro-Line G8 Hammers

I made my own Thunder Tiger shortened MIP. I took stock MIP and popped the male end in the lathe and turned down about an inch the cut off the end nearest the nuckle. I drill through the knuckle side, turned down the splined side to fit inside and then drilled and tapped a hole for a 3mm screw. Probably easier just to buy the short shaft, but I wanted to see if I could do it.

MaxAmps 2200Mh 2S Pack and a Hitec Servo

Tekin FXR Crawler combo with 55T motor. The FXR BEC seems to deliver enough at this point without a external BEC, but I have yet to seriously flog it.

Of course DNA wheels and Proline G8 Hammers.

A few more pics of the final product. Damn this thing is just freaking great without tweaking. Bolt it on and slip up almost anything. FYI the new Blue DNA dig with Steel internals IS MUCH smoother and more reliable that my V1 VF Digs. Nice upgrade DNA

With the below setup, what really surprised me was that I am not running a BEC and I haven't had one problem yet, but I suppose in the worst of servo binds, a BEC would be valuable insurance.
