So where are the detail shots? Those lower links look like beef. Are they plastic? What about them new shocks? Plastic or aluminum?

they are plastic, but they have more meat on the sides of them to make them stiffer

This new RTC kit offers beefier plastic lower links, beefed up plastic steering tie rods, a 55t motor instead of the RTR's 27t, and new 4" shocks. The shocks do have plastic bodies, but they are still one of the smoothest shocks I've ever tried. The shock shafts are 3.5mm instead of the standard 3mm stuff. "thumbsup"

I called Axial today

they told me the link are thicker plastic

and the shock are shorter and threaded plastic

it still all plastic

I'm running all plastic traxxas shocks now but if they are the same or better id change out...time will tell , i like the fact they are threaded

when can we see them in the stores what store will be the first to have them:lol:

it'd be real compentitive w/ the losi if it had a dig.

One thing I forgot to mention in my initial post is the new stronger driveshafts. We modified the molds to add more meat around the yokes, which made a huge difference. I've been running the new prototypes in the rear of my SCX10 with a 12t motor, and I've haven't had any issues with breaking or twisting them. "thumbsup"

Matt did a live interview with me down at RCX this last weekend, he went into detail on the new RTC Crawler. The new crawler looks great with there improvements.

Very nice intro rig. Wish there was something like that when I started out, would have saved a lot of money. Cannot see why plastic parts are such a bad thing in a starter vehicle, plus if it is as they say beefier than previous versions (shock shafts, drive shafts, links etc.) then they will probably hold out quite OK in the hands of anyone who just wishes to try his luck in crawling. Not everyone buys a truck with the intent of destroying it asap! As far as I am concerned I had great luck with stock AX10 plastic parts.

We had this car at the NRHSA show last week. This car is awesome. All you need is a front battery tray and some weights and you're comp ready. Hobby store owners were drooling over it.

Those shocks are nice. I saw some on Benders rig and they were nice and smooth and the shock shaft was BEEFY. He was pimping the aluminum versions but I can't imagine the plastic body version being too far off performance wise.
