| AX10 Drive Shaft
I was running my AX10 the other day and I got the rear tire in a bind and the rear drive shaft popped off. I got it back on but I was wondering if you could use a zip tie around the pin connector to keep that from happing again? I'm also thinking about getting the drive shaft up grade later on.

Zip ties will work temporarily, that is what my kid did until I could get him MIP's. Just don't count on it as a long term solution.

I use copper tubing from the hardware store that is just large enough ID to slip over the shaft and use CA glue to keep it in place

I've seen a 4 guage crimp connector (like for a battery cable) used as well. It's got a plastic slick cover so it works pretty slick. |

Axial and many others make driveshaft rings just for this problem. |

I have a set of HR rings. Sense I have put them on I have not had an axel pop off. The only problem with them is they have tiny little grub screws that fell out in about 10 minutes, to hold them on I used paper clips, kind of ghetto, but it works great. Of course, the cheapest fix is small zip ties, they work too. |

I just put a set of these on yesterday when my stock ones finally just ripped through the side of the pinhole. rings and ties are temp fixes until the pin comes through like mine did. Those seem to be a little more durable at least until i get cvds.

I actually popped my Traxxas shafts off the yokes when I was running the tranny and only had the half-shafts on...they caught the frame and both flew off! I popped them back on and used 3 layers of heat shrink on them. Other than the heat shrink getting chewed up, they are holding fine. I'll get new Pede shafts eventually, but these are doing good.

Search "Maxx shafts made easy", and "Super shafts", then we can be done and you will have saved money. |

I was one of the first to do that on the TLT, but on my R2D trans, I don't think a Maxx shaft would fit due to the disconnect being so close to the shaft.

i know this is for axial but i run the older tmaxx drive shafts on my tlt and they are super strong and reallly cheap. you would need some of these or something close to it that will fit on your axles and 2 sets if your running the ax10 trans http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=350176257831 |
