I have stock wheels and tires on my AX10 I have 7.5 oz in the front and about 4 oz in the rear with two 1/8 vent holes in the wheels and I cut triangles into the foam and took sissors and rounded off the edge of the foam. It works great.

| I had the blue ax10 with the 72 chevy body on it. I may change the set up but for now I like it. It will climb most anything I point it at. I even made it up that nasty hill at the rox box, on a free crawl day. cant get it to do it during a comp tho. I guess I need more wheel time :-P

Quick question? I am going to start with 6oz in each front and 3oz in each rear. Do i need to space the weights out evenly or does it matter?

| I try and distribute it evenly by using the holes as guides. I may use 2 pieces, skip a hole, put on 2 pieces, etc. if I don't have wieght wrapped the whole way around. It doesn't have to be perfect, but you don't want it lop-sided!

Thanks mascman. I now have the front two finished and they feel really good. I will have to go back tomorrow and pick up another pack of weights for the back.

I have 1 full wrap on each wheel. I think it's about 3 1/4 or 3 1/2 oz.

| Same here. I'm right at 14oz front and 10oz rear with tires, foams, wheels, rings and hardware. My crawler seems to do well and no axle breakage.

BB's help keep the weight low but you can't use them with foams. So I would have to say I don't think many people do that any more.
