| not really a build thread more of a upgrade thread...
Here goes bought a rtc when released and thought it was great out of the box, but have completed a few upgrades that i like the out come of. including changing to a r2 trans with disc novak rooster crawler esc inturdy 55 turn motor dx3r tx/rx as it sits i love the low stance and the way it will rip the driveshafts off if it gets in a bind, hahaha cant be any happier with it for right now atleast Plans for the future are as follows or until i change my mind lol: upgraded chassis derlin links(i like the plastic slide) maybe updated motor and maybe lipos. aluminuim steering options let me know what you guys think i always like creative critisism..... |

You are off to a really good start and made a great radio choice!, but boy that is a belly dragger! Here Is my humble opinion. 1 Tires. Rovers are extremely popular for good reason. They will get your GC up to about 2-3/4 2. Mip/thunder tech driveshafts. 3. Aluminum knuckles and C's. You could do what I do with high clearance VP knuckles or go BTA with them. 4. Go 4 link and do Delrin lowers 5. Chassis, either a very popular SWX or the similar but I think a little better in some ways Mayhem LS 2.0 see my build thread, link in my sig 6. Better shocks, either the Losi crawler or the new Axial are a good choice. 7. Lipo's That will keep you busy for a while Last edited by crawlincircles; 06-18-2009 at 01:41 PM. |

Looken good!!!! I just got a kit Axial. It sits too high. I am still waiting on a 55t motor and a servo. I think that the RTC comes with the new Axial shocks. |

looks really good bro!! as for upgrades, definitly upgrade those stock tires to some HB Rovers or somethhing along those lines. you will see a major difference in crawling and your belly wont hang as low as it is now. but looks really good. i have the HPI bug body also. |

| Looking good!!! 4 linking the rear will help a lot and so will moving your lower links the the inside of the chassis, New Rovers is for sure another good investment... |

Looks great Like you already planned 4-link front and rear. Like everyone has said, different tires. I say comp claws, they flat out work. Rovers are good to but I havent even ran mine yet because I love the comp claws. Nice rig and keep on practicing and tweaking |

Good job. I like the body. I think you might benefit from trimming the bottom edge of the body just a little above the skid. It hangs up less.

I will be a pest a give you more choices LOSI COMP CLAWS The best rock crawling tire ever made. They look awesome and they grip on anything I use to just run the stock tyres but when i bought these wow!! they 5.2 high so they will give you better clearance under the diffs but not blow your cg out of proportion!!! |
