Yeah, ran it in the house a couple of times. I can tell that the socks are WAY to stiff for this setup. So, I set it up droop and changing a few things around. It should be back in action soon. Hope to get it outside this weekend for some testing!! I will post new updated pictures this weekend as well!!

Thanks,
Jason

Well, got it back up and running. I am liking the droop setup better than the sprung with this chassis. Here are some pictures...

Now, with the droop, the skid sits at 2.75" and the top of the dig servo is at 5.75". This makes this rig low with a CG.

The rig stays planted with this setup. It also gained some flex with the droop setup. It gained almost 1.25" in the front and about .25" in the rear.

Looks much better. IMHO, that's an ideal stance for a full droop axial.

Looks better lower with the droop set up.

A couple things I see that I would change...

Your upper links are to short. IMHO,equal length uppers and lowers are ideal. With short uppers, during droop, your pinion will be digging in the dirt. Longer uppers will keep the pinion angle the same throughout the suspension cycle. Also helps allot with axle steer

With a droop set up,you want a little squat in the suspension. Helps keep the shocks compressed on climbs and unloading when you don't want/need them to. Sprung is opposite of that, you want a shade of anti squat in the rear/squat up front. Right now,it looks like you have a little squat in the rear. Needs a little more front and rear IMHO.

Comp ready? Not yet but it has to get there before the Souther Cup Showdown that is going to be here in less than two weeks!!! But, it does crawl really well!!!

Here are some picturs from its first outing this past weekend...

I think this is going to be a good starting point. I have some new wheels and tires that are on there way. Hope to have them this week. This should help alot!! I am liking the droop setup on this chassis. You can see the benifits of it in these pictures. Let me know what you think guys...

In your initial parts list you state you have the "rear only" dig but in the build you say your using the "front and rear" dig plate. Is the plate available seperately? I really likr the set up your using will the rear only plate look the same? Thanks. D.

LOL I guess I missed the rebirth of this thread! No, the rig only ran rear dig and used the plate for the front & rear setup. We never went to market with these as I was never happy with the performance or cost from Montrucks.

Yeah, Inflames is right. I am missing a vital part of this rig as you can see from his avatar picture! I do miss it though and it did run great!
