Exclamation Another Ax10 building Project

hi , I run on road cars from some years ago but I´m a crawler newbie and I like to shown here my ax10 building , not much but the basics and some home made parts , nothing real new but my own project

After building the chassis , I cut rear foams like this :

I use this star patern foams back and memory proline foams on Losi Rock Claw tires

I pretend to have 250g in front and 180g back ( including wheel, foam and tire ) so I use some wheel weights tire balance to achieve that

Now , I have to eliminate chassis torque twist so I have two solutions , I buy the parts or I build it , so I have a carbon plate and I take the job :-)

Looks good, but the aluminum skid will hurt you more than help. look into some delrin skids, or since your a DIY'er buy some flat stock and make one!

that carbon front battery plate looks great as well!

Stainless is weak for crawlering, and anything in the "RC" area.

Nice work on the battery plate/servo mount. Looks awesome.

Thank you , why do you say that ? with some work I can make a carbon skid but I love this aluminum skid , I known it´ll be full of scratches soon but it´s the only real solid part of the chassis or do you think aluminum isn´t a rigth choice ? thanks

Carbon Fiber is 8 times stronger, two times stiffer and 1.5 times lighter than aluminum , I a use 2,6mm carbon plate for this

Delrin Slides over the rocks better. The aluminum digs into the rocks and slows the truck down. Can cause more hang ups on rocks with the aluminum
