Default Madelyns Crawler

Work has begun on a crawler for my daughter Madelyn. We are starting with my old JP customs chassis and some spare parts that I have been collecting. I am going to have here do as much of the work as possible. Of course the truck will be built on the budget of a 8 1/2 year old. We will see how it goes.

Now she is sad because we are out of parts. :-(

She is looking forward to having a crawler of her own. She likes driving mine but I know she is holding back because it is not hers.

I just got my son a MRC for his birthday and he loves it. I was going to get my Madelyn one also but I just like the Axial stuff better.

Here are a few small updates. I received a new rear axle housing from TCS on Friday and I had enough missmatched parts to put a rear axle together. I need to get her a set of rear strait axle adapters but it will work for now.

I picked up a trans with a slipper from Almostevil665. It just needed new outdrives and the bearings for the outdrives. My LHS had a traxxas bearing that was a perfect fit. I had some steel outdrives laying around.

She officially has a roller.

I have a extra MRC rx so I plan to get her a used MRC radio. I have a few 3 cell lipo's so now I just need to find her a ESC. I will probably go with a used Mamba or FXR.

That table is the only reason we can still build on the dinning room table. It also keeps the parts from falling off the table.

She has been wheeling all over the country. First wheeling trip when she was 4 months old, She has been to Paragon (RIP), Raush Creek, Telico and Moab just to name a few. Crawling is just in her DNA.

that is sweet. I've got a tuber I'll be putting together and a losi that I'm getting ready to take out of the box and will let my daughter drive either. Took her to WCC a couple of weeks ago and asked her what type of body she wanted and she choose the losi so looks like she gets the one out of the box. She's a little spoiled so not sure if she'll be picking up any tools we'll see. Trying to get her into a slash or crawler or both, keep her mind off those BOYS

We are still working on getting some little odds and ends for the crawler. I picked up a very gently used DX2.0 from rock addict. It should be a great radio for her.

We are still looking for a good deal on a FXR for my comp rig so I can give her my Mamba Max.

We emptied out the piggy bank and ordered a FXR from Todd at RC planet. Should have some updates by the weekend.
