That looks nice Chad. Hows the motor liking the 25 tooth pinion? I'm sure the wheelspeed is great but hows the torque still?

I like the drilled rear wheels, I'm jelous your getting to go to a comp a week. Not like you didn't get enough drive time before right. I will hold that dig for you if you are serious about it, you may have to move the trans forward when you switch out digs, but that will help with the motor clearance. Oh ya and did you drill the pinion for the motor shaft?

That is a pretty big pinion. I'm running a 10 turn, use a 12 tooth pinion, and I think the wheelspeed is pretty decent. Motor run hot much?

I like the way the wheels look drilled lol. Ya theres a little Tuesday night rock crawling leauge here in Ohio. Ill be back on the 25th though. I had to drill out the pinion too. The pinion is a 21 tooth (my bad) and the motor gets just a bit warm but not hot. I am really interested in that dig but im not sure i can fit it if i have to move my tranny. Its already wedged in there lol!

Cool looking rig.

What foam are you running inthe Rovers? Also how much do your wheels weigh?

I'm running the Pro-line 2 stage memory foams with less than 4oz and they don't fold enough...stock Axial wheels.

Im running 0oz in the rear due to the fact that the battery is back there and in the front with my comp solids im running like 5 or 6 oz. I know its a lot but i had to make up for the weight on the rear to keep my rig balanced. I'm planning on running a smaller liter battery so after that Ill take more weight out.

Im running the stock foams with vented wheels which seems to be perfect. These wheels are a tiny bit wide which helps the side wall from rolling under the rim.

Each front wheel weighs: holy crap! 15 oz And each rear weighs 7 oz. But that battery weighs 6 oz. fully charged lmao jk

I love how balanced it is. I can go up pretty steep grades, but i think that the whole truck weighs to much. Thats probably why those tires fold up nicely. Maybe since those tires are so old it allows them to fold up nicer too! lol

Just keep it as light as possiable, weight it with 60% of the weight over the front axle and 40% over the rear, make sure the suspention cycles freely with no binds. If you're going to un a 4 link you'll probaly need to find some upper links, I think the lower links will work as uppers depending on what 4 link plate youre running, I also think a 2.5 ground clearance works well with this chassis.

Just take a good look at my setup and you should be fine due to the fact that this chassis works well already! Any exact questions feel free to ask me and Ill be glad to answer.

He kind of just shows up, talks to everyone, hits all the gates, breaks his truck, and goes home.

Going to be using this body in the feature:

Today I'm going to be installing some hardened Robinson Racing steel gears in the tranny. The HR alum. ones suck!
