So i am thinking about getting a ax10 ARR. I am very heavy into the Losi mini crawler but want to get a bigger truck. I know i will need to buy a motor but will my electronics and controler work from my mini? can i just pull out all the electronis and use it in the ax10? I am running a hi-tech 645 on the mini so i know that will already work.... thanks guys and let me know? If i can do this it will save me a little cash!

The stock MRC radio will work fine. The 645 servo will work well enough, it's not great though. I doubt the stock MRC speed control will work though, it'll probably overheat and shut down repeatedly.

My friend is running the losi mini crawler esc in his arr. His wheels arent wheighted or anything, so the truck is very light. He doesnt have any problems with the truck shutting down but the drag brake on the esc is almost non existant. My advise? Pick up a sidewinder and call it a day. Or if you are tight on cash RC4WD makes an economy esc with a drag brake for about $40.

Another route is the rooster crawler combo kit, it's some what cheap. Work very well though. You can run a 2s lipo or a regular pack.

My advice is to buy an ESC that handles 3S Lipo, or a 8 cell split pack. This will give you a lot more power, without adding to much weight. I'm very happy with my sidewinder, but if I were to buy a new one, I would go for the mamba Max. It's an awesom ESC that handles any motor you can fit into your crawler. And you will only need an USB cable to program it - just download the software....

I took some advice from this site and ordered the Tekin FXR/55T combo for $100.

Beware - the FXR combo requires all wires, connectors and a capacitor to be soldered.
