Default Best High Clearance Knuckles for a BTA Steering Mod??

Hey All;
I have no experience with a BTA Steering kit and just scored one. Is it even worth going with the high knuckles or should I leave the regular ones on,or do I have to with a BTA kit?. I am so confussed on this one.:? So I want to know after searching and finding a few option but no one said what they though of them just that they instsalled said brand X HC Knucks. I just don't want to buy something twice and figured I would just ask the large wealth of knowledge that resides here on RCC. Thanks in advance for helping me out here.

Just scored one? If it's something like a CKRC or Jetboat's kit, any standard high clearance knuckle will work. Zero ackerman knucles like one's Egressor sells, and the new ones from VP won't work as the steering link will be too short to connect the two. However, ifyou are willing to make your own steering link (with an eye to eye measurement that is the same as the kingpin to kingpin measurement) then I think the zero ackerman setup will allow for the most actual travel (more than any current cvd can provide.) However, if you decide to run zero ackerman knuckles, be forewarned that you may have some clearance isses with certain tire/wheel combos. I run Egressor's zero ackerman knuckles and have to use wheel widener's for my stock beadlocks to clear, but don't need any with my DNA Psycho wheels.

i've had very good luck with the ckrc bta and hc knuckles. took 4 link setup to not hit the tri link at flex. my only problem now is if a lug grabs the spring and pulls it off it's seat.

You should try the HPI Savage spring cups. They have a deeper perch, so the spring is less likely to pop off. They work with the losi and axial springs I have used before. Not sure about other springs though.
