Arrow ** MSD Hybrid Comp Chassis Almost LIVE build **

Guys this is a build and tech thread for anyone who wants to convert their AX-10 to a comp truck VERY easily. We started with a Axial ARTR from TCS crawlers .com HERE

- NEW MSD 2.2 Hybrid Comp Chassis, designed by Harley0706, more info on Harley's original build of this HERE
We also have a MRC version of this same chassis
- ONLY CHASSIS ON THE MARKET WITH A SIDE SKID PLATE TO PROTECT YOUR MOTOR!
- This truck will have DIG as well
- Tekin FXR , HERE
- Tekin 45t motor, HERE
- 12.25" WB
- 10.25 TW
- Axial trans
- Axial axles with all the goodies
- ARTR tires and beadlocks
- ARTR body
- All 8 links on chassis build are 90mm , set up is 50/50 , can be made 60/40 VERY easily.

Chassis is available NOW through MSD, we will have it on our website and in the vendor section very soon. For now you can PM us if you would like more info.

Chassis is a DIRECT bolt on for the axial ARTR or ax-10 kits. Very simple to build, narrow comp design keeps the weight forward and low CG for the best comp setup.

I am going to try and do a step by step build here to show you as much as I can on how to make your AXIAL comp worthy very easily.

We like to run LOW CG crawlers, so we are going to lower this car a bit. First take apart your stock shocks. We added a 15mm piece of fuel line tubing to the inside and left the stock black stopper as well. This will lower the car about 1". We also switched to Losi white front springs and Losi yellow rear springs. We will be running 60wt shock oil in all 4 shocks.

If it's raining half as much in Helena as it is here in Missoula he should have it done before dinner tomorrow.

I think Ben is using as much of the box stock ARTR as he can to show how easy this chassis bolts up.

OK guys, sorry I had plans to finish the truck yesterday, but my wife had other plans after lunch.

So here it is all done, just needs electronics, but I will leave that for the next owner. I used as many stock axial artr parts as I could to show you guys that it is possible to do this build on a budget.

I added MSD Axial / Tlt servo link mounts to make it quicker, but the stock axial ones will work just fine. MSD's Here:

I outboarded the shocks front and rear on the axle, makes the suspension cycle smoother. I also moved the lower links in to the inside on the axles, also helps the smoothness of the suspension cycle.

This was a very easy build for a beginner , my total build time was about 5 hours with all the parts on the bench. I would rate it about a 5 on scale of 1-10 difficulty.

If you have any questions feel free to post them here or pm us and we will be happy to walk you through it. I think this is a great and easy upgrade toe make your ax-10 a VERY comp worthy crawler.

pics of the finished build, I put a used BUG body on and slammed it down, belly is at 2.5" and roof of the car is only about 6.5" .

This truck will be in the for sale section shortly if anyone wants to own it.

Nice job Ben

I am going to have to decrease your pay though for the captain clash Blue/white with the Orange links though

Don't worry I will have to show you style with my build
