| DNA Dig Custom Servo Mounts, Full Size or Micro Servo
I have a super low slung body and narrow chassis. i just got ride of my drive shaft dig for the DNA. i had to out board my uppers on the chassis end and with how narrow the chassis is i might even have to go with a Micro Servo. Two questions. How and where did you mount yours. And what size and brand servo have you used. I have a cool idea but i need to shorten my MIP shaft before i mount the servo. |

That lever setup is a good idea. This is an old pic from the SWX. Putting a mount on the chassis side works, but for reliable dig operation, the servo needs to be braced well, hence the reason for the cross brace running above it. A good, strong mount running off the dig itself is probably the better choice. Just have to get imaginative with it. |

I like mine attached to the tranny so chassis flex doesn't affect it. |

Yall are silly. Mini servo with the weight up front: I even extended the hell out of my rear links (shortened the front) to move the chassis weight forward. Everything is as tight as a glove but it works great. |

Yep, no need for a full size servo. I have had great results with the JR DS3421 mini. Light weight, compact and plenty of torque to engage any manual dig... Only picture of it that I could find: Last edited by JeremyH; 09-11-2009 at 08:19 AM. |

| With all those braces, I don't think chassis flex will be a problem!
