Default axial vs. losi springs

Hey

I just got a set of the losi shocks for my ax10. It comes with all white springs, and was wondering a few things.

I know it is ideal you you get a harder spring on the LR for torque twist. Does anyone know if my stock axial kit springs are harder then the losi whites?

Also what shock fluid does one recommend? 15,20,25 weight? all the same in all 4 shocks?

Thanks!
Dylan

i run a traxxas red or a losi yeller in the back left

i run 20wt up front and 30wt in the ass.

purdy sure the axial springs are too long and stiff (RTR type) for the losi shocks

X2 on the AX10 springs being too long. I just tried this last night and the ax10 springs are 3/4" longer and way too stiff. I have some axial super soft springs and they were still too long and stiff for the Losi shocks. The Losi spring pack options are nice but I was able to get a set up by just adjusting the spring down but each chassis will be different. 55wt in the rear and 35 in the front works for me.

Losi:

Axial:
AX30213
Spring 14x90mm 1.32 lbs/in - Super Soft (Red)

AX30214
Spring 14x90mm 1.71 lbs/in - Soft (White)

AX30215
Spring 14x90mm 2.25 lbs/in - Medium (Green)

AX30216
Spring 14x90mm 2.78 lbs/in - Firm (Yellow)

AX30217
Spring 14x90mm 3.01 lbs/in- Super Firm (Blue)

You can cut the axial springs to fit shorter shocks. Also, all of these arenīt industrial quality springs. Equal springs might be different in springrate since they are hobby-quality. So it all comes back to trial and error.

Also if you go with underdrive or overdrive gear set in the front or rear, it will eliminate alot of the torque twist.

umm that's not really up to date. i know for a fact that the pink now comes in in the 2.75 size
and they also now have the gold which is 2.75 and set at 1.5 lbs

as for cutting springs i'd highly sugest against it. it kinda like cutting the springs in a 1:1. its way to easy to botch a spring if you dont have exact mesurements of an uncoiled spring. it may be a miniscual mistake but in crawlers a little tends to count for a lot.

I run the overdrive gears up front. They might help with TT a little, no more than the right springs will. I do like the OD gears though.
