Yes for sure, I was a long time hold out on going LiPo but is great, If you look on ebay you could get 2 3s 1500mah 25c lipo batteries and a basic balance charger for around $60 shipped. I only have one question and this may have already been asked but does your ESC have a built in LiPo cut off? if not you will need a external lipo cut off so you don't ruin the lipo batteries by over discharging them.

If you need a cheap alternative to charge your lipos check this and this.
I have the accucel and its the same opperating program as the team check point one.(not the ice copy checkpoint)
