What do you mean "jerky"? Tha rooster has a drag brake that should creep going down hill. If it doesnt, it might be your throttle foward setting.

What do you mean by jerky?

Going down hill everytime you let off the trigger it will stop with the drag brake. This is by design.

It will get better with driving practice and working on your setup.
Have you added any weight yet?

More info needed.

Has it always run this way?
What Tx/Rx are you using?

When I first installed my rooster, my throttle foward was causing the drag brake to not engage. It would just roll down hill. I dialed the setting back enough that the drag brake could function properly.
You might also want to reprogram the esc just to make sure.

Too high center of gravity or loss of speed could be the major problems.

I had the same issue and found that my son had messed with the settings on my Specktrum DX2.0 radio. After futzing about with that for about an hour I finally got it corrected. Not sure if that'll help you but thats where my issue lay.

sounds like trim or glitching issues, try reprogramming the ESC, & check the trims on your radio. Make sure the rx antenna is not damaged.
hope this helps
