It is best to email Ben, he has PM's turned off usually...

Thanks guys We shot a quick coat of paint on them last night and then sanded the links smooth to see how it would look. We got the desired effect of just leaving the paint in the milled area. So now it is just a matter of getting the new base material and doing new links. Still have to decide on the final design though.

I also talked with Tom from VP last night and we got the order sorted out. We will have lots of new fancy VP parts here early next week

I'll be interested to see how those parts work in the chassis, IIRC it was originally designed around the now defunct DNA dig?

The VP looks like a solid replacement

I may have to hit you up with my own link ideas... to bad you have a body guy already for this one

Yes it was designed around the DNA. A local friend of mine, sangell on RCC, is running my original truck and installed the VP and a FULL size servo in the mount that the VP comes with. All he had to do was space the servo with some traxxas balls.

Let me know on the links, I can send you an .ai file you can mess with.

Me too Mini! I had a HR one awhile back and hated the quality! I am sure this one will be nothing like that though I have sat and just looked at the close up picture of this case and can't believe how nice it looks!

I told Tom I wanted the silver case to attract peoples' eyes to the transmission. I want them to notice it isn't stock so they will appreciate the craftsmanship of the part.

Josh

I have never seen a Vanquish item that isn't top notch. But the best part is they all work great. The only thing is the weight of that case. Do you have the weight of the Vanquish case compared to Axial stock case

Man you read my mind beside's the quality of the other caes's out there they looked really heavy and bulky too that's why I never changed out my plastic one . But that VP one looks superb can't wait. If it's not to much to ask when you get it can you give us weight on it Thanks.

Nope, just a killer shafty rig. I will do another rig for the sportsman class if it gets going. This chassis is just a blast to drive and I have wanted another fully decked Axial for awhile.

I will post the weights as soon as I have the parts in hand, unless Jim or Tom beat me to it.
