Later today I will post some pics of this chassis with a VP dig using the VP servo mount with a HiTec 5645 servo.
Here are a few crappy pics.

Because you are still using the same size hex and hardware on a 1.9 so there is much less room to work with.

I believe Vanquish will be releasing a 1.9 SLW though, now I need to build a new 1.9 as an excuse to hit them up :-P

I spent the begininning of my morning off by deciding what servo to use for the Vanquish Hurtz dig. Since the Vanquish dig uses a lever that gives the servo a mechanical advantage I wasn't as concerned with a huge amount of power. However I did want to make sure that I could still unlock it from a bind. My biggest desire from the servo however was SPEED. I want this thing to shift quickly.

So this morning I developed a list of all the servo's I felt may possibly work. I set thresholds for the values, such as speed, weight, and power. If any servo fell below that value then I took it out of contention.

The two servos that I was deciding between were the Futaba S9070 and the Futaba S9551. Turns out that both of these servos are shallow, more than .75" shorter than a standard full size servo. This will allow trouble free mounting with the standard Vanquish Hurtz servo mount.

In the end I decided to go with the S9551 for it's faster speed and greater power. The 0.5 oz of extra weight will be a comprimise to ensure that I have plenty of power and faster response. Also turns out that this is the servo that I was recommended to use by Jason at Hobbico.

Yup that is correct from what I read. It will be nice to have the servo fall right in

The holes don't go all the way through.

Looks like a SWX skid plate but a bit longer. Your going to fill in the holes with metal to keep weight centered lololol.

No channel on the bottom?

Skid design is the same that has always been on the Hybrid. Quite a bit different than the SWX and the original Hybrid had two grooves down the skid.
