Default AX-10 axle locker question

I'm going to upgrade the lockers on my axles. Anyone have any opinions on these lockers from RPPHobby

Or just running the axial locker upgrade with maybe an aluminum housing.

Any thoughts or feedback?

Thanks.

i rock the stock metal Axial Lockers that came with the truck.

I have never had an issue whatsoever with them.

Alluminum axel housings will get you stuck on rock more than the plastic ones. Now if youre goin down a scale road, then thats a different story.

But for a comp rig, id stick w/ the plastic. it slides where alluminum and other metals will "stick"

For example, if you go look at all the insane MOA comp rigs like bergs and bullies, the dudes who done know what they're doin have all fabbed some sort of delerin skids for the bottom of their axels.

exact same principle

i use the upgraded axial lockers and the aluminum gh diff housing. they are only $10 each at tower. the aluminum housing took out all movement of the locker inside the housing.

go with the RPP ones, they get rid of the stock crosspin, the plastic or aluminum housing, and the aluminum locker thingybob.

Much less slop, and more weight where it does the most good.

I've been running the 3stage racing spools ( the ones that RPP is selling)for almost 2 years, the same set! I've worn out 2 sets of axle shafts but the spools themselves are perfect, no measurable wear in the slots where the axle shafts slide into. They are also nice and heavy, so it puts weight down low, exactly where you want it. For less than $20 for a pair, you can't go wrong!

I have all 3 of those choices and I would choose the RPP ones, followed by the heavy duty Axial ones. Like BigSki said, no problems with the RPP ones at all. super heavy duty
