just a thought- might you add 2 more holes along the bottom of the chassis, attatching the skid to the chassis plate independently of the lower link mounts? I'll do this to my chassis when it shows up but maybe it's worth considering for a REV down the road?
That's definitely possible, but would add more to the cost. There would be more machining, extra hardware and tapping of the skids. I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible, so that might be something best left to the DIYers like yourself

Thanks a lot! I try to keep prices as low as possible......I know everyone works hard for their money, so value is very important to me. I'm also on RCC every day, so it doesn't take long to get in touch with me (although my girlfriend would probably like to see me spend less time here )

It does come in purple, but I wouldn't say it's Bright......more like Barney Purple.

mine showed up today, I must say it's a first class product all the way, even the packaging is well done! The SW3 will get torn apart tomorow, the axles will get bolting into the wheelbase jig and I'll get started.

Looked on your site and couldn't find this one there, is it full production run yet or should I wait a bit and does it come in all the colors of the f4?

I'll jump in..

They do come in blue.. I think if you check his site he'll have the same colors as the F-4 chassis..

The FF-4 is not on his site yet.. PayPal him at:
sales@undergroundcrawlers.com

Then just let him know what your looking for.. You won't be sorry.. This is a sweet chassis at a very reasonable cost.. Great service too. I had mine within a couple of days...

The difference is subtle, but I do prefer the FF-4 to the original. It does climb better with all things being equal.....with all the same parts swapped over from my F-4, this chassis outclimbed it by two degrees. I also like having the skid farther forward, as it gets onto the rear lower links sooner when dragging. I don't plan to totally discontinue the F-4, since I'm sure not everyone is into a 60/40 setup, but the next rev will include all the adjustment upgrades that this chassis received.

The website will be updated this weekend.....it's been a busy week!! It does come in all the colors that the F-4 does. It also comes with either a black or white skid.

Not sure if that's blue or purple.....maybe both? The purple that we have does not look that bright, but we can sell a bare aluminum frame if you wanted to paint it yourself.

Thanks Ron....He's right, all the colors available are on the site under the F-4 page. I'll have it updated this weekend, but for now you can paypal me at:

sales@undergroundcrawlers.com

Sorry for the late reply to all this.....I was out of town last night and got home pretty late.

Fine, I'll take one in White with a narrow black skid. If it isn't too much trouble could I have that predrilled for an axial all the way forward like yours? I'm gonna run a cobalt puller 500 with a custom motor plate to keep the width down anyway. I might even hit you up for a narrower skid after I figure out the final width.
