| Komodo scaler/ axial knockoff diff questions?
I got a Komodo scale truck from a buddy of mine. He says its supposed to be an SCX knockoff. It has a full aluminum chassis and metal diff/axle cases. The steel trans gears from ax10 were a direct fit, but he started having issues with the diff gears. My question is does anybody know if axial or any other gears work in this komodo? The axles look really scale from the outside with rounded pumpkin and all so I hate to replace em with plastic axial axles but I will if needed. I'm making this truck a mud truck so they need to be strong. Its getting a set of clod sized mud slingers on it and vxl brushless motor. Thanks, T.

Looks just like em. Wonder if anywhere closer has em or if they make heavy duty diff gears for em.

I would guess the stock RC Channel gears to be HD gears for them, I've heard the shafts are weak also. With the tires and motor you plan I'll be suprised if any stock parts hold up.

Already have hardened steel tranny gears, stainless output, and punisher driveshafts. So my weak point will definately be the diff or axles.
