Default AX10 RTR and Lipo question

My friend has a AX10 RTR racer/crawler kit and the guy at the hobby shop sold him some losi lipo's for it. First off can you run lipo's on the factory ESC that comes with that kit? If so do you have to change the plugs on the crawler to match what came on the battery?(a weird little plug, I haven seen it before, it's not a dean) Thanks for any help, we're both newbs. to RC's altogether.

once you figure out the plug situation yes you can use them but you must not run them to low. either get a lipo cutoff by novak or buy a lipo cutoff ESC. make sure he doesn't try to charge them with a non lipo charger too

Make sure you only run 2s lipo's with the stock ESC, a 3s lipo will fry it.

Buy yourself some Deans connectors too. They come in packs, and they are cheap. Set all of your batteries, and your esc up with those. Welcome to crawling, and to RC!

Default They will work!

I have a stock AX10 rtc. I run a 3s 2200 lipo in mine. It made it come alive and i have not had any problems. Just dont let it run to low or your chances of damage are greater.
