Default Steering question ideas.

I have been looking at my steering alot lately and I have noticed some stuff.
the linkage size is really important so the front wheels do not fight each other.
Questions.
1. How much steering is to much?
2. If the answer to 1 is as much as possible then how do you get a good shock angle and not have a tire issue hitting the springs at full throw?\
I will try to get a pic soon but here is my setup from the driveshaft out to wheel. link, axle tab, shock, shim, axle tab, wheel. Thanks.

I've got mine to turn just about as far as it'll go with the stock but modified drive cups. The tires do hit both the links and the shocks, also the battery and the servo and guard...lol.

I'm using Axial aluminum knuckles that are cut right after the first hole. Turned all the way, they stop at the head of the bolt that holds the shocks/links.

Like I said, this is about as far as I can go with the stock drive cups. A few more degrees of movement is possible, but that would put the pin terribly close to popping out, and would put a terrible amount of stress on it as only one end of the pin is doing all the work.
