The clockable part is useless, they give the option of stock caster or way to much foward caster (the same as putting them on backwards). That said I prefer the Axial ones as they can be made to be rock solid tight where most others wobble after one course of my abuse. To keep them rock solid I added 3x3mm setscrews to the empty holes, which also helped to keep the bearings seated with Super300's.

Who else makes a quality clockable c? Or is there one out there that you can mod and make it clockable?

Just having two options stinks. Go with a gunner beaf tube conversion and then add whatever C's you want and you win a the strength area as well.

| When you are setting up your upper links you can clock the axle up so that the pinion is pointed upwards towards the trany. This will help to give you better cleareance as well as putting less strain on the drive shaft. I try to get the drive shaft as straight as possible. Now that you have done this you need to clock your C hubs back the other way, otherwise your tires are pointed down as they turn. It is more noticible when you try to turn while climbing. Look at the pinion angle in the above pics the GUNNAR posted. |
