Default New to me AX10

Picked this up semi locally from someone who wasn't into crawling. Pretty stock with an EZrun ESC, Integy 45T, some stick batteries, 645 servo, and a new body.

Have a Rooster ESC, White Rovers with foam, LiPos, and going to get the new shafty TCS moonbuggy chassis once it's out.

For now I've just been playing around with it and my monster truck. Need to tweak it for COG, travel etc. as I've been reading and do some major cable management work along with practicing vs. running over things.

Thanks everyone! I'm spoiled by the view-it's a friends pond/land that I've helped drudge out, take down too many trees, and had some great times at. With the stock ax10 I couldn't do alot of crawling without rearranging alot but with the mods (and some time hopefully after this weekend) I'll have it switched out and doing much better.

You should put some power behind that crawler, turn it into a waterproof racer and jump it into that pond!

Been a few months since I've updated this.

Haven't been outside the neighborhood crawling yet-been enjoying inside, obstacles around the neighborhood. I have picked up a Goat ESC, 2s lipos, 2.4Ghz (just 2 channel for now-no dig yet), Rover white dots, and a TCS Edge frame.

Going to go 4 pt in the back, new shocks (either big bore or duratrax prob), new links (TBD), delrin skid or modifying the stock one, mirroring the tranny, and locking out the rear axle. Debating on MIP or Junfac driveshafts and high clearance knuckles. Still working on researching the suspension setups-it's not a strong point of mine unfortunately. Edge pic thread is giving me some great ideas.

Only pic update I have is of the chassis from the seller. It's on my RC parts table now though.

For panels I'm thinking some PBR metal or just flat black.

Default Pbr

I VOTE PBR, make sure you put some shorter shocks on there, the belly clarnce should be less than 3 " for max performance...

Thanks! Will have to pick up some tall boys to get enough to make em and extras.

I'm thinking of going droop (Mini-T springs) with these shocks to see how the clearance is. I also have some Tmaxx 3.3 shocks that are shorter that I can give a go. Just need to find the time. I have my stampede basher in parts on the table waiting on some rod ends/bearings. Would rather have one RC apart at a time.

Played with the edge chassis some. Decided to keep it stock for now while I wait for my moonbuggy setup to arrive.
