Yes-here is a video of my friends RTR. Not much of the RTR is left. The VXL will start breaking the plastic gears. You will need MIP drive shafts and all steel gears in the trans. Robinsons racing makes the gears. The ROOSTER in Glamis! 4x4 with Paddles

The RTR is full of parts that you will replace in no time, which becomes costly, very quickly. I started with an RTR, and well over a G later, the only thing left from that truck are the axle and tranny housings. Wouldn't it be a better/cheaper idea to just buy a Honcho? Looks like you will end up with something similar with that TCS setup, and the Honcho is a kickass rig. And btw, welcome to the drug we call crawling!

Not sure of the width of the Honcho's chassis, but it comes with something very similar. Just in case you don't know what rig we are referring to: http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/scx10-rtr/index.html Do you have a LHS? They should be able to work out some sort of payment plan for you. Mine is always happy to take my money, even if it is a little at a time! Last edited by Mayze; 06-01-2010 at 02:58 PM.

You should certainly look in the For Sale section here. You can get some pretty sweet setups for a great price, but that won't help with payment plans. It's seriously too bad you don't have an lhs. I have one that's about 5-10 min away, and that's even a pain in the ass when I need parts right away. Links, screws, connectors, etc. You will be FAR better off spending the money on something more durable, and with better electronics, to save yourself the frustration of having to replace stuff all the time. Especially considering you will have to wait for mail order.
