Default 2.2s Bodies?

Sporty bodies are getting harder and harder to come by. What are you all using and where are you finding them?
I found a mini bug body on ebay and bought a Losi night crawler body(Grappler Pro) but it has the holes for body mounts and the stupid light bar molded into it.

I picked up the Parma xciter at RPP not sure if they still have them or not, it's been a few months. A few guys are finding bodies at Team Blue Groove. Seen others running 1/18th scale bodies. Lattice Innovations have a nice body soon to be released.

I'll just put this here. The cat got let out of the bag at NENC.

Parts should be arriving from the vacuum former by the end of the month.

Traxxas rustler looks pretty damned fine to me. I'll be squirting some sort of color on them in the next couple of weeks.

I run the Associated B6 body and absolutely love it. I have mine on a SuduOne. Make sure you get the light weight version. They're pretty cheap.

Next to a Parma Xciter body....

I like the idea.
Once the original buggy body is cut up does it meet the minimum body specs?
Will the truck drive upside down with that body?

Yes and Yes. You have to be careful trimming . The pre-formed cut lines will result in a cab shorter than 3" by just a tad. You need to cut outside the bottom cab line to have that pointy spot create the 3" cab. Other dimensions are fine with the pre-formed lines. I shortened both the front and the rear from the lines down to the 8" or 9" minimum spec the rules calls for.

Truck totally drives upside down and it makes recoveries a breeze while keeping weight as low as possible.

Unless something changed I'm unaware of the 3" height includes the chassis.

Body must be 3" not including chassis.

Body spec minimum 3x3x8"
Cab must also be raised 1" (window area)

Guess my old hacked-up KTM Junior Motocross fender body that I made for a RC10T2 wouldn't pass muster either!

'Course it was thick as a brick, and indestructible.

Added a green Zytel 1/8th buggy wing and made all the guys on the track run for cover.

Guess there's rules for a reason!

My body is 3" the way it's trimmed. I know the chassis doesn't count. Body has passed inspection several times at many events. (against the wishes of some people).

I have absolutely no problem with that body at all so don't get me wrong. I mean if that stupid cockroach body that came on the xr passes most anything is fair game to me!

dont the rules say it must resemble a real 1:1 body?
how does a B6 body do that. the XR body doesnt really either but its there and used.
i guess resemble is more subjective.
