I sure hope to get on this asap. There are some things I'm still waiting on. One question for ya, Will I be able to use my same MIP shaft from my SWX? It's the long "Axial AX-10" one.

I used a shorty shaft up front and a modified regular shaft in the rear (VP dig installed) I had to cut about 5mm off the splined end of the shaft and grind the collar side up about 6mm to allow full suspension travel If you look at my FF-4 or Fastback threads, look for a picture of the underside, you can see the grinding I did on the shaft for clearances.

Well Ive finally lit a fire under my ass. It been god knows how long scents I've worked on this rig but, It's gone from this...

To this...

It's been weird mocking up a different chassis but, I can see some very nice changes. Such as GC...

I wanted to open up the width of the uppers some more then normal so I'm trying out something a little diff...

I may need to do some trimming to the plate if I keep it this way.

As you can see I have sanded off the textured powder coat from the side and polished the rest. Cut back on weight and looks cool...

Leaving it in the smaller edges made a nice contrast.

Got my VP's and Sedona's mounted up as well...

I also picked up a 7980tg servo. I do need to find a better set of servo mounts or just Dermal these out...

Found some Traxxas turnbuckles that worked well as a tie rods/drag link...

With the VP 0 ack Knucks I should end up with good caster angle...

Looking good Creepy I was wondering how long it would be before you got that thing together. I ran the Axial Bta with that chassis, it's nice not having all that crap out front.

Not to sure about how to set up the front axle. I think I may need to un limit my shock set up in the front. I prutty happy with the rear...

Here is a rough mock up of a front link. It puts the WB at about 12.25...

The way these rolls of tape are set up is damn close to what the axle will set at when the wheels & tires are mounted...

This servo is fairly big. I was not happy with the BTA it made the wheels wobble to much. Plus the VP's are 0 ack and i get way much more F%#king steering with them. I need to use my Super 300's to there fullest. The links are also alot higher then normal with it set up this way. It should not be a problem at all.

Once I got 300's I did'nt have tire wobble and I was able to get max steer. Your setup looks good and should perform well for you.

I sure hope it does. I'm missing our first comp of the year and will be pushing to get it down by the next one.

Nice job on polishing your turd. I'm proud of you for not giving in to the XR10 bandwagon.

Honestly, Im more affraid of you with this rig next season, than if you had picked up a xr. Dont worry though, I aint sceeerd. I'll still whoop yo ass in 11'. - 2010 summer series winner

P.S. My trade offer for my winning moalosi is still on the table.
