It's that short link from the servo to the left knuckle. You should use a tie rod running from knuckle to knuckle, and a drag link running from the servo to the right knuckle, or to some point on the tierod towards the right side on the tierod.

The way it is now is just a mock up. It's the old set up just unscrewed to get a idea. What would using a tierod/drag link over my double tierod do exactly? This is just the way it worked out with having my servo so far over to the side.

It would keep your wheels parallel to each other, and it will make your servo not work as hard by keeping the tierod and drag link angles closer to each other. If you don't want the servo to hit, move it over or get a wider offset wheel.

I would just BTA it to get it all out of the way, but that's just my opinion.

I thought about Axial's BTA but, I just weird about making big changes. I don't want to have to more my links or shocks. IDK . I need to fig out something and soon thu Nat's is coming and fast. I didn't know the way I had my tierods was making my servo work harder. That just might answer some other ?'s I had. Thanks gunnar

Axials BTA kit is nice, but with your zero Ack knucks, it won't work, you have to fab it up on your own. I have been using a 130mm Lunsford link, and a combo of Revo and Jato rodends. You would have to heat the Ti link up with a torch and bend it for clearance, then use the Jato ends and trim them to get your wheels parallel, but things get real tight with clearances when doing this, as far as clearing shocks, etc. It's not easy, but once it's done, you end up with strong, light steering. If you can, I recommend clocking back the knuckles to increase caster, it really helps the steering hook up so much better.

Yes they are the RCP clockable C's, So you mean point them back down now that I have the VP's or do it after going BTA? Your set up dose look sweet but, To much for me to get in to this close to Nat's. I may just end up get the Axial BTA to try out.

After trying to get more out of the VP's I broke down and picked up the BTA set from Axial. As far as bolt on goes it was the sh!t. Even tho the tire was not all over the servo any more, I wanted a little wider stance up front. A buddy of mine took some of my old WK wideners and milled them down and cut in pin slots of me. Now I set at 10.5in wide in the front.

Here it is next to a stock hex.

A shot of the front "tie rod free" axle.

The new lid I painted.

Also painted the wheels gold.

I'm not sure about the body. It may grow on me more.

Can we say total fail. 92nd out of 100 The course were pretty killer. There is one thing I will say, The top drivers there are just on a hole different playing field. I would have done but, My steering servo popped out at the end of what would've been a flawless run casing me to occur 2 reverses.

http://www.youtube.com/user/seamonky666?feature=mhum#p/a/f/2/OfS023mGWkc

If you watch at the very end when I'm down in the hole you see the servo come lose.

It just pulled right out of the blocks

I found a piece that i was able to trim down and make a brace.

Too bad i had to run the next course with out getting it properly fixed. My next run the servo came out 5 or so times causing me to take repairs to push it back in. I pointed out obviously

My overwhelming compulsion to get thing as light and low as possible have forced me to make some changes to his rear.

The BENDER Customs 4 link Ive been running has work well but, After seeing that the Boomerang 4 link has the same hole placement i had to switch.

I also lowered the axle mounts to get it down some more as well as lowered his upper links to change the geometry some.

My son just ordered me some Sondonas for my B-Day. I cant wait to have they work on the rig.

I must say thu Nat's was a blast and hope to be able to make it next year as well.

And to make things worst I had to take off the wideners I had made do to the death wobble from the BTA. They just made it that much badder

This is the only coarse I ran with them

Damn skid getting hung up

I found a set of VP DH Pro Comps with 2 sets of bullet weights for $190 shipped. After finding it 37 pages back in the For Sales, 2 PMs, 4 weeks and, 1 phone call later. I got them for $130 shipped over night.

Oh yeah and Waylon got me Sendonas for my B-Day.
