Default Delrin rods or tubes?

Where is the best place to buy delrin rod or tubes? Maybe 1/4" & 5/16".

Thanks

The only thing better than McMaster Carr would be it you could find a local supplier. Not always an option, but shipping is more expensive than the material through them.

Thanks for the replies. Man, you could spend a day on these raw material sites. Add that to a day surf'in around on rccrawler, whoa! Anyway, is the "rod" the way to go, or are the "tubes" thick enought to tap/thread?

Thanks

Get rod then drill and tap it. JeepinDoug makes some drill bushings that make for perfect holes every time. Link Drill Bushing

That's what I do. Luckily I have a place close though. I usually buy five 10' sections at a time and they are just over $3 a piece.

Look up plastic suppliers in your area. They might even have a remnant bin that they would sell out of cheap. Delrin scraps are 50% off regular price at my place, and the last Friday of every month the scraps are 50% off so it pays to wait.

Yeah, i have plenty of delrin from McMaster and RC bros. i was just stoked at the pvc stuff. i think it would make great link material. All of the gray stuff in the pic is pvc and the black is delrin.

never made links from PVC but hey its worth a shot. I think its a bit more brittle than Delrin, which will flex BIG TIME before it snaps Square makes some killer lower links, and uppers
