It is obvious that a lot of misinformation is floating around. I will make it clear right now. 1. The toob's current configuration will not allow you to combine VP knuckles with stock dog bones. If you chose to run dog bones, you will need some other model of knuckle. 2. The toobs are drilled and tapped for easy installation as requested by most customers. If I were to make these without the drill and tap, you could place them where you wanted. 3. The tapped portion cannot be moved further toward the end as it will severely weaken the holding power of the threads. Currently, I am the only one producing these (with help from gunnar directly) and we have shipped over 50 sets so far with NO complaints from the field. Good cheap cvd is the axial cvd with gunnar pin or mip cvd with gunnar pin.

| Did you realy think this out befor typing it? It dosen't say anywhere on VP's site that you CAN NOT use dog bones with VP knuckles. I'm running stock dog bones with VP knuckles and have NO problems.

| Its because of a design flaw(s) with the tubes. The issues are that the counter bore or flange milled into the tube is to little and the inner race of the bearing strikes and the setup itself pushes the bearing out way to far to begin with. The true solution is the "True" gunnar tubes which I have made and work just fine with my VP knuckles |

It is not a design flaw with the toobs...it is a design flaw with the VP knuckles. The toobs must be drilled and tapped where they are in order to have enough meat to hold the screws. If you attempt to take any more metal off of that area, you severely weaken the screw's threaded area. The VP knuckles seem to have the bearing placement closer to the axle as opposed to stock or various other models. I run only VP knuckles, and have tested this on at least 3 different sets. You also have to remember, these tubes have to work with what Axial has provided. With the C screws so close to where the bearing sits, there is not much room for a design change. Don't blame the tubes, blame Axial for putting the screws there |

Just got mine a couple of days ago, and they installed real easy, and really took a lot of slop out of the front of my rig. Two thumbs up! |

Hands down, one of the best mods I've done on my 2.2 Top Truck, front and rear. They even work with XR c's, knuckles, and universals on AX housings. |
