Lightbulb AX-10 Monster, take 2

16hp's Monster pix got me interested, so I got the same tube frame/chassis, and will build up a monster AX-10. My ultimate goal, is to have a vehicle sort of in the same vein as a Traxxis Summit. By that I mean it's got more horsepower to bash with, getting some air if you ran it on a track, yet being crawler friendly.

I'm thinking of putting in a Mamba Max Pro w/ a brushless motor....something around 17.5, and adjust the gearing.

Does anyone make an upgraded tranny for the AX-10 to handle more power? Someone mentioned that you can get an AX-10 baseplate that allows you to mount a Summit tranny. Has anyone heard about that, or being able to mount some other beefier tranny?

I know I'll need to beef up the drive train. I plan on Junfac driveshafts, and heavy duty axles. Who makes some good, yet affordable, beefy axles?

I plan on using Pro Line Titus wheels, weights in all wheels, soft foam front, firmer foam in the rear. Pro Line Powerstroke shocks.

Any other suggestions or things I should consider?

Once I have more than just the chassis on an AX, I'll post pix to this thread.
