Default Rollback

Hi there.
i've a noob question.
Can someone explain me why the rig rolls back when u go uphill?
I've got ax10 rtc 1 week ago. Once it was totally stock, nothing was noticed like that. But since i added some weight to the rig and wheels, it started to roll back, when u stoped during the uphill (i do not pull the trigger to brake).
Does that mean the motor is not so powerfull to hold it or?

The stock esc doesn't have a drag brake. The motor itself will hold it a little bit, but like you noticed, when you add more weight it won't be able to hold it. There are several different esc's that have a programmable drag brake, like a Holmes Hobbies torquemaster br-xl, or a Tekin fxr.

Thnx a lot.
So the new esc will fix the bug.
I really like tekin stuff but....
is there any cheaper alternative? is there any sense to buy a used one?
At least for now, i'm not planning to invest too much in electronics.
The first step is mechanical part, the second is electronical, but as i see all the things are to close to each other and once u start upgrading in easy and cheap way u have to understand it will affect the other changes

Personally I would run the stock stuff untill it dies, which knowing axial electronics won't be long. Don't fix it if it's not broken!

Those were my intensions,
but since i live in that hole, i have tothink in advance.
We don't have too much choice here, u know
I would only change the esc + radio in future.
Now the links and a skid plate are on their way.
The rest will be in use until the complete destuction
I like the motor, i like the set in general, but for some plastic stuff and loosen screws which i already have substituted.

When I got mine I spent my money on upgrading all the stock plastic steering components and got a better chassis. I didn't get my tekin till much later, but I would highly recommend the FXR. Before you spend too much on links and skids I would get a good chassis. All the good ones come with a skid and either come with links or you can make your own out of delrin.
