Bedwood UGC FF-4 build

Hi everybody, i introduce myself in presenting my first crawler build :)

I bought a ax10 artr on month ago, but after reading a lot on this site, i was blast about all possible mods on this truck

Spec:
Underground Crawlers FF-4 chassis
Duuude D-mount
Tekin FXR esc
Tekin 45T motor
Losi gold springs
Blue bird 60DMG+HS servo
updated ax10 plastic threaded shock

I ordered axial high steering hub, and clockable C's . I will machine gunnar beef tube for the axle when the lathe will be less busy at job.

Nice looking sportsman build. Mirror the transmission to get a little better performance from it "thumbsup" If you have any tuning questions let me know. I'm pretty familiar with that chassis.

Thank you dicky , i planned to put a VP dig for christmas  if santa want it :lmao:
I juste received my Junfac driveshaft, but im not sure about the overlap on the rear shaft, it is like 3/8"... the dig will give me a better overlap length ?!

I will work on the litter box :ror:

DickyT 11-24-2010 05:48 AM

The dig will give better overlap, in which case you can not run a mirrored tranny. but you will wnt to flip things around so the shafts are on the left and motor on the right "thumbsup"

What shocks are you running ? are those the stock RTR shocks with gold rings? If they are how are they working. I hjust builta an FF$ and have evader shocks on with soft springs but I am looking at other options

I run axial plastic shock, with threaded preload adjustement, it come with the new artr kit. (the new kit have the axial 55T motor, and better shock than the old version, the spring length are 70mm)

For now they do the job but i will upgrade with traxxas big bore or losi, im not sure.

Nice chassis, I think I may be going with something else over the stock style tvp chassis in the spring. I know how you feel about the snow, we haven't get much here in Toronto yet but I see on the news alot of Quebec already got dumped on. Here only outside of the city is getting hit hard.
