Drive shaft keeps coming off

I've got a stock ax-10 that the driveshafts keep coming off the pinion or t-case output. Do you guys put locktite on the bolts or what?

Alright, I found my answer on the next page. What is the easiest or cheapest way to make it faster? Is swapping the spur the cheapest way? What is the correct motor for speed, or how do I 'tune' my current set up? Is tuning only available for the higher end stuff?

Read the stickys at the top of the AX-10 section for tips on tuning. There is no tuning as far as the stock esc is concerned. To get more speed you can go with a larger pinion or if you can afford it, upgrade your motor and speed controller. I run a Holmes Hobbies 35t handwound motor on a 3s lipo battery and a Tekin FXR speed controler. Most guys I know are running 35-45t motors and stock pinions.

Good Luck, post up if you have any more ?'s

I'm running 45T and stock pinion, and I get all the wheel speed I need.

My son wants the crawler to go fast, so that is what were going to try to make it do. It doesn't really do a lot of crawling per se. I think I have a 27t motor I can throw on there. Thanks for all the ideas.
