Use a dremel with a cutoff wheel.

Check your local True Value Hardware. They've got some cheapo's for $15.

Alright gentlemen, we have cut-age!

Went the cheap and easy way. I bought a cut-off wheel and mandrel, and chucked it up in the 'ol drill
should be able to run most gear combos now. May have to shave the trans a lil bit if I need to, but I will hold off on that for now.

Also did a bit of experimenting with my electronic mounting.
right now I have the receiver mounted upside down on the upper braces.

(also mounted the dig servo)
Can't decide if I should mount the batt. to the front link tray

Or should I get a longer servo mount and run the batt. there and put the esc on the tray?

Another option would be, battery on a rear link tray, and esc on the front. Thoughts?

Not much progress lately but I did do the 3 position toggle mod to my controller today

Now I just gotta wire up the rest of my electronics so I can test out and make sure it works.

Hmmm I see some un-used mounting holes on the front servo plate. Thought of making a mount that screws on there and then running a tab between the middle links to hold the electronics or battery. Sorta like what the T1E shafty chassis does. I love the creativity with zip ties and trying new electronics positions, sure can make a huge difference

What weighs more, the battery or the esc? Put the heaviest on the front links, the lightest on the rear links.

Better yet, make or buy a battery/servo mount for the front axle.

This is what I think I'm going to do. BTW, any idea how I can get my hands on a D-mount?

I could, unfortunately, I live in an apartment and don't have the tools to fab my own parts. Besides, at a cost of about $10-15 for the D-link, I would spend more buying tools and materials to make my own.

Hey Sniper I know you made your cut but if you want more room ditch the slipper clutch and you could cut a bit more off for easier maintenance.

Yeah once I get it running and start messing with gearing I may just need to do that. At least at this point I have the motor mounted up and have a better Idea where I'm at for clearances. Thanks guys.

Well....after a call to Castle, and having to hook up my old Win.XP machine, I got my MM programed. Then I went on to try setting up my dig servo, what a bust! Can't seem to get the epa's right. Really getting frustrated. Either I wired the toggle wrong, or my controller is just not going to work with the dig.

I think I'll go shoot faces on BF:BC2 for a bit and come back to this later.

I'm thinking about ditching the dig. Or, just disconnect it and lock it in place, seems to be more hassle for me than it's worth.

Also, I need to stay out of the scale section. I don't even have this pig running yet, and I want a damn scaler now
