bearings question For both axles you will need : Eight 10x15x4mm Eight 5x11x4mm For the Tranny : Four 5x10x4mm Two 8x16x5mm is this correct for a complete bearing replacement in an ax-10? I have a gift certificate for avid and need to know which ones I need of what type? (metal, rubber or revolution) |
I don't have my parts list handy, but that sounds about right. I've been using rubber-sealed bearings on my rig with no problems. |
I run Revolutions in both my Comp rig and my Scaler and really like them. Every bearing I've purchased thus far has been smooth, consistent and they've held up beautifully. Avid will have my business as long as I'm in the hobby. |
sounds good I am excited to try them, just didnt know which ones exactly.... if someone gets a chance, let me know if those are right |
Straight from the original AX10 manual... 5x10x4: 4 Total 5x11x4: 12 Total 8x16x5: 2 Total 10x15x4: 8 Total If you use a Straight Axle conversion in the rear you'll eliminate 2 of the 5x11 bearings. I always order one extra of each size; price is right "thumbsup" |
My local hobby shop carries every bearing needed for Traxxas vehicles. The 5x11x4 is very common, so is the 10x15x4. I had these bearing for my Slash 4x4. the Traxxas bearings hold up just perfect in my AX10."thumbsup" Im sure some of the other Traxxas vehicles could use the 5x10x4 and the 8x15x5. Just offering up a suggestion for anyone in a bind and not wanting to order bearings. |
