Gotta thank Zippy for the Monster stickers They matched really well. And it's even the girlfriends favorite energy drink! I just had to put the "trucker chicks" on it! Since this is a girls truck after all... Last edited by sourdojack; 01-02-2011 at 12:02 AM. |

Here are some pics of the body on the truck. I cut it too short before I mounted it. I originally thought I could slam the body lower, but without doing a "trick" steering set-up, this is as low as I can go. I don't think I can do the Gatekeeper style steering with the pinion angle/caster angles I run anyways. The last time I drove the truck the front didn't seem to flex well. So before I soften up the springs, I'm going to raise the shocks on the axle. This in boards them 1/4" and lays the angle down flatter. We'll see how it dirves tomorrow at the comp. |

Here are pics of my little dig. I used some polishing cloth on the case to keep the shifter sliding smoothly. And of course for the bling factor Here is the top view of how I routed the wiring. I used some 1/4" Delrin rod to hold the servo in place at the chassis. The lower piece has all thread through the center clamping the servo in place. I coated it in CA glue after I got it all installed to keep it from moving at all. It's just a temparary mount out of delrin since I broke my 3mm tap Still has a nice and low COG though Here is the final weight with Cheapbatterypacks.com 850mah 3S lipo |

For you guys wondering about my wheel weight. Front wheel/tire combos are 10.0 oz each and rears are 6.5 oz each. So 7 oz of weight added to the front wheels. Here is the total weight bias! Front axle is 3 lbs 1.1 oz Rear axle is 2 lbs 0.7 oz So right about a 60% front weight bias... Dunno if that's good, but the truck sure drives great so far! TOM |

Here is a quick vid of Josh driving it up a line I have never made with a no-dig shafty before. One of these days maybe Chris the Battery Guy will come make some sweet video's of the new build. I just need to "cup the balls" better i think... lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLAF6fI1hK0 Last edited by sourdojack; 01-03-2011 at 01:43 PM. |

Hey SDJ, You've got a very clean build. Eritex dig looks tiny. I really debated between this set up and the VP dig. How do you like it?

I made it out to my buddys machine shop tonight to lighten up my Robinson spool. Here are some pics! Disregard the marks on the gear from when I tried to drill it We used a 1/4" carbide end mill, only thing I could find that would cut through the surface hardening. Now when the girlfriend strips out the stock trans gears she can install the steel gears TOM |
