|  MIP C Spline Lengths?
I think I asked this question before but wasn't able to find it though searching. I have the standard MIP C Spline shafts http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXUUA9&P=FR Am I correct in assuming they are the same lengths front and rear? The front shaft seems to meet together before full front shock compression as compared to the rear. In other words I have very limited vertical travel since the female and male ends hit together on the front shaft. Is this normal? |

I have the same issue with my rig. It only effects travel when compressing both the front shocks at same time. Since it takes both shocks to compress I have yet to see it effect articulation while driving it on the rocks. check your rig and see if its the same way. Mip does make a shorter version of the drive shaft. DAve |

Yes they do make a shorter version for a dig but as a shafty I don't plan on installing a dig unless I upgrade to an MOA rig later. Side to side articulation is fine, but steep vertical ascents gives me instability since the male and female ends of the front shaft are completely together. But my question is the standard AX10 MIP C spline kit has both shafts front and rear the same length right? |

I believe they are the same length.....your setup (either the way the tranny is mounted to the skid or how your suspension is setup) might be slightly more forward than toward the rear.

If you go MOA it won't matter, as you would be using an electronic dig. As Jeremy stated, I would look at your suspension set up. Do you have you shocks limited internally? Pics would help also.

You could grind a little off the end of the male spline until it doesn't hit anymore.And ,yes the MIP's are the same length unless you get one that's stubby for a dig.

Here's my front end setup. I would eventually move the servo to the center since I am now strapping the lipo to the upper 3 link. The rear is 4 linked. How would I move the tranny back? My spur/pinion is literally a hair from rubbing the chassis.     |
