She has been a little bit busy during the holiday break. Send her a PM. You won't be disappointed.

Michelle you do bad ass work! I love my skins.. can't wait to get mine mounted. Nice skins man, I really dig them! I see you went with the new fb skin cut that her and I whipped up. She's great you think it up and she'll make it work. I mean anything. I didn't like the cut pattern she had so we made a new one lol.

I've been doing a ton of reading about BECs being wired directly to the steering servo or just straight to the reciever. Seems everybody has a different reason for doing it one way or another. Right now mine is ran through the reciever, but I was wanting to bump the voltage to 7.4 for my 7950 without frying my dig servo or receiver. I ordered the servo "Y" harness but am not sure I am going to install it yet. Any thoughts?

I just finished wiring my servo straight to the bec. Yes it's a little more permanent but it flows the most current with the least amount of voltage drop. No connectors eating up power. Plus it keeps the wires all nice and clean!

Yeah I think I am going to keep the connector just so I will still be able to program or remove if I decide to. I'm not a big fan of all the wires either though. After I am confident everything is placed where I like it I plan to start trimming the wires up.

If you want matching wheels you can always get SLW V4's with DH rings. Oh and those skins are SICK! I thought your paint job was cool till I saw the skins.

I had intentions of ordering the SLW V4's but at the time the only thing in stock and black were the DH's and I'm pretty impatient. I got a few things to get for my 1:1 crawler but have intentions of getting the SLW V4's down the road.

EDIT:
Black SLW V4's in stock. Now on order.

Today Tom and I picked up a servo Y harness to install my BEC straight to the servo. I got to hand it to Tom. I was just going to install the Y, but he was able to simplify the whole process and make a very simple and clean harness that works great and takes up very little space. Also makes it easy for me to reprogram the BEC if need be without repinning wires. We just used the 2 female connectors without the signal wire to connect the servo and BEC. Then just unpinned the servo signal wire, pinned it into the spare male end off the harness and plugged it into the reciever. Thanks again Tom.

Sorry for the blurry pic but I'm sure you get the idea

Also picked up some 3mm thrust washers similar to Billj's build to free up the steering a bit. Figured I would share an alternate part number. They seem pretty well made. We will see if they hold up as well.

There are 2 of them, but I had all ready opened the packaging before the pic.

Default Update:

Been a little busy lately for any updates.

I recently swapped the rear wheels for the VP SLW V4's that match the DH's

Last night I swapped out the Hitec 645 servo for the mini 225. What a difference in space.

I also installed the Crazy Origin shock caps. I really like how they free up the shock movement. I had to spend a little bit of time changing rod end lengths and messing with internal limiting to keep the CG where I wanted it and still allow enough overall articulation.

Ahhh...the good ol' days....

when was that....like 2 months ago

This rig has turned out very sweet I must admit, although I am a bit partial.

It has been a real pleasure to get to know you and hang out/crawl with you...you will be missed out here in AZ.
I just hope that you can find a group to crawl with that is at least half as cool as we are...but miracles are few and far between these days so I"m not holding my breath.

Good luck to you and I wish you the best.
Keep us updated...
