Default matt_22 AX10 build

well now that iv started to modd my ax10 thought i might make my own build thread lol. it nice to see it trasformation even though i havent done much. but more to come thanks for looking

so i made up my mind about building my own 4 link set up and here is how it turned out.

my first mod was tires proline 2.2 tsl sx super swampers

Looking good so far. Good work on the 4 link's!

It's interesting to see how each persons truck evolves over time. Some have quick changes, other morph more gradually.

But modding is half the fun!

well i decided to make my own cage. its simple just a skeleton of the stock body never seen it done before. thought it might be kinda cool.

i used 3/16'' steel rod let the shapping and welding begin!

well looks like ill be ditching the cage and ordering a comp body i picked up a scale jk jeep project to do custom cage work too....

Well it was getting too heavy, after putting weights in my front wheels and cage. I just don't thing it would have performed well. If some body could give me some ideas to make the front look better. And I couldn't figure out any way to mount it if it was just gonna be a tuber.

Any ideas?

weld your side plates to it and just make it a full on tuber. just when it was getting good too.

any ideas on what i could do to the front of it? it needs something else and i guess i could just make some 1/8'' steel plates and go from the bottom of the door and goe down toworrds the chassis??

well now yall gat me thinkin about im gonna hit the drawing board for some ideas!!!!

shorten up the nose hoop and run another tube from the side to the front and a few gussets.

this is what i fab up tig welded some steel brackets and bolted it to the chassis





and cut up the body and made some pannels



what yal think??

Get that giant antenna under control too. I read a thread about making a plate to wrap it around out of lexan, I took the same idea and did it with styrene.
