What's torque steer? Sounds like you need a new chassis.

Took it to it's first comp tonight, spent about 10 minutes getting the feel of it before the comp started, then peaked the battery.

Had a good time, finished in 1st place. This thing flat out works, I love it. Had to take a repair on 1 course because I forgot to tighten the driveshaft after I shortened it today.

After the comp I let Patrick take it for a spin and within 5 minutes, he blew the tranny so I'll have to tear into it and see what needs to be upgraded. I know I should have loosened up the slipper before he took the remote.

I only took 1 pic of it sitting on the bench, but it's on my phone. Patrick is 666, yea he's fine, we always take turns breaking each others stuff.

Hey Jason...looking good mate! Would you happen to have any shots of your steering setup? I am interrested since you have the VP zero ack knuckles and your steering in the front....any binding?

No binding at all, nothing special either, I just ran a tie rod in the forward most holes on the knuckles on top of the knuckles, then a tie rod that goes from the servo to the bottom of the drivers side knuckle. I'll try to snap a pic this afternoon.

Good to hear it is working for ya Jason! The GC-3A is a sweet chassis for certain. That Austin guy kinda knows a little bit what he is doing.

Slipper clutch? wtf is that? that was one of the first things I ditched on my shafty.

One local comp early last year and unable to drive through a wedge because a fully tightened slipper still slipped = lock that bitch

Hardened gears shortly followed

Heck yea Jason good job,I think you should get rid of the mip shafts and get some stampede metal yokes and half shafts. This is just my opinion but the heavy solid rotating mass has to much shock load on the tranny and the plastic is alittle more forgiven.I know people are not believing me but I have a 31t checkpoint 3 cell and not one issue and my truck gets beat every time it moves

I love it, I cannot get enough of it. I took it to the Colorado swap meet yesterday and ran it for a while, I passed the controller around a bit to other guys and they all love it as well. I know I made a few more GC-3a fans yesterday.

I think we have a couple weeks before I get to run it at a big comp.

Looks nice, but we need more pics please! Those look like the 98mm Integy shocks?

That would be correct.

I work for the next few days, but depending on weather I hope to get out and do a video shoot of this rig later this week.

Got my Gatekeeper GC-3 today! Was going to use some nice hard anodized threaded Losi shocks I had around, but would prefer some with the top ball mounts but I've never had much good luck with Integy parts.

I normally don't care for integy products, but bought these shocks on a recommendation and love them.

I see the shock specs, but I've found they are often not quite correct.

Whats the eye to eye measurements on those extended and collapsed?
