Thanks for confirming that for us.

I don't think it has the strength of the Castle, but some is better than nothing.

I figure if that was the case it wouldn't specify that its set for 2s cutoff. the sidewinder has auto and then 2s 3s etc.

Anyone try 3s on the new axial/castle esc? Was going to order more lipos today and didnt know if I should get 3s or 2s. I'd like 3s, because thats what I use on my XR and I just order a SCX10 w/2.4GHz and the new ESC.

I put my AE-2 on 3S the other day. It chirped the appropriate 3S warning on the auto-cutoff and initialized properly. It hauled ass around the house and I quit.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to chance sustained use on 3S yet.

Alright just did a little test with the Losi ESC in my Honcho. I would guess the Drag Brake in the AE-2 in better. When going uphill it will roll backwards very slowly so there is some drag brake...Now when decending the drag brake is 2 to 3 times stronger. Some is better than none...

The AE2 is leaps and bounds above any of the previous stock electronics offered by Axial. I was throughly impressed when I took my Honcho out for the first time. After going full throttle, I let off the throttle, and it literally locked all 4 tires up.

Looking foward to seeing how it holds up. So far, I love it. Makes me not even want to drive the AX10 with its dinosaur AE1.

So what other settings does it have? Can you run without the Drag Brake still having instant reverse? like with a 27t or faster motor....

I'm about to order an AX10 RTC package as soon as they get in stock somewhere. Can anyone confirm if these are shipping with the AE-2 esc? I don't want to get stuck with an AE-1

Ok so you got a honcho with the ae-2??

I just got a Dingo and it came with the 2.4 tx/rx & upgraded servo, but a Ae-1 esc Needless to say I was disappointed!

I was thinking the Ae-2 only comes with the RTC? But if you got one with a honcho WTH?

Axial please confirm!

Also, I just got an email from Axial. I requested specs for the AE-2 and they were kind enough to send it to me.

The part number is AX-24259. All searches with the new-found part number came up empty-handed, just as before.

Since I'm not able to attach anything, I have to post a screenshot of the PDF they sent:

.....and they still haven't updated their site with this info.

I hope this helps. Now that I have some info, I've made the decision to save myself 100 bucks for a new Sidewinder and just stick with the AE-2. For being stock, I feel it's a pretty good piece.
Thanks a ton for posting those instructions! Just got my Honcho RTR kit and it had no instructions on ESC programming! Whoops Axial!
