unortodox dig servo location

I didn't feel like digging out the build thread, so here's a quick peek at the location I came up with to mount the dig servo on my FF-4 chassis. I was running the FF-4 in Sportsman class last year and it did pretty good, 99% of any issues were due to my lack of driving skills!

I decided to run in a 2.2 comp class this year with a different club, they have a lot of shaftys running in the comp class so it should be fun again for me to run with other shaftys. I got a hold of an old VF dig and got the steel internals for it. So far it seems to work ok. Space was so tight I couldn't get a servo where I wanted it and funds are non existent for me right now, so I had to work with what I have in the spare parts boxes. I came up with this design- it looks weird but it works really well, the cycling of the suspension doesn't effect the shifting at all. Feel free to comment good or bad, my skin is thick and I locked up my feeling ( only have 1 left) in a safe place...

nothing wrong with that, looks clean, and if it works well, right on, my only concern would be it posibly shifting as the suspension cylced but you've already stated that as a non-issue. good job I say

Nice job. Looks good, I'd say there is a lack of space. I really like my VP dig, how do you like yours?

I believe an axial team driver did one there... or maybe it was EP... can't remember. It was cable actuated!

I hate to correct ya, but you have a VF or DNA dig unit there... The Vanquish Products dig is quite a bit different. Just figured I would mention before someone got confused, not trying to be an ass.

As long as everything is centered, and the links are set up right, the solid rod can work well.

That's right it was the delrin build... I remember now!
