ya the rooster works great on 2s but if ya get ballsy and want to run 3s youll have to get a external lipo cut off like the novak smart stop, but lipo is the way to go, plus ya can get lipos for cheap nowadays,

I've been looking around on hobbyking and this is what i've decided on, good choice??

If you're going budget, try valuehobby.com. They're based in the US, so it doesn't take 3 weeks to get your stuff.

If you want really good but reasonably priced batteries, try holmes hobbies or cheapbatterypacks.com

I agree with going to VauleHobby. I'm running their Imax B6 and a few of their 2s 1300mah batteries with no issues. To power the Imax I'm using a power brick from a Western Digital external hard drive.
