Default dx3r settings and vanquish dig,

hey, just installed my dig, "its a nice i like"

i had it set up on the 3p switch and it would go form 4wd,rear free, rear locked.

my buddy has it set up like that and it rolls back a every time. not cool

currently i have it so it is in 4wd or rear locked. but no option for rear freewheel.

is there a way to make it go from 4wd to locked in one button push while still having the capability of freewheel?

its on my ff4stback

I don't have the same radio as you so I'm not 100%, but this is what I did. I have on swidh set as a 3 position switch and another set as a 2 position. The 3 psition switch will go 4wd, fwd, dig. The 2 position goes from 4wd straight to dig.

Make sense?

Hmm wannasummit makes an adapter that will fix that for you. Search vendor section for 3 position adapter. Seems weird that a 2 position switch would go left position then back to center, instead of left then right.

I have a DX3R and have 2 buttons setup for my dig.

Button 1 is I think "C" the farthest one to the right by steering wheel, it's setup as 3 pos... 4wd/FW/Lock

Button 2 is "D" the first button under the wheel by the triger, it's setup as 2 pos... 4wd/Lock. You have to set the end points for it to throw from drive to lock then it will do it in one motion.

Hope this helps.

I would like to buy that radio but for the money it should be able to do whatever you want it to.

Having to buy a mod and then tear into it to install it seems dumb. I am not putting down wannasummit parts, what he engineers and sells is badass, but the radio itself seems to be at fault.

Can you set the two positions 4x4 and rear lock to one switch and then have free wheel on another? Free wheel would be used the least and if it was a little tougher to get to it might not be so bad.

Maybe Ill save the money, buy the wannasummit mod and a DX3E.

I have tried many times to make that happen with the 3r. You can't do it. All you can do is either use the 3p or the 2p. It sucks, all I can suggest is that you set the f to 2p and c to 3p and practice with it, you can get pretty fast at the switches with some practice by using them both you click the f to go to freewheel and with your steering thumb you click the c and it's pretty quick.
